When Baron Bich and Mr. Sakuraï inaugurated the International Golf des Bordes, now one of the finest courses in Europe, they undertook to create an accessible golf course to both leisure and sports golfers.
To do so, they chose the site of the Priory of Ganay dating from the 12th and 13th centuries and entrusted the construction to Jim Shirley with the express instruction to preserve this magnificent natural setting so typical of the Sologne.
The Ganay golf is the only 36 holes in the Centre region, located in the heart of the Sologne, next to the Loire River Valley and the castles (Chambord, Villesavin, Cheverny...). The two courses feature water hazards, in a lowland forest. The clubhouse was set in the XIIth century building where you'll find the bar, restaurant, pro shop and reception.
