• The Argentario Golf Club lies between Grosseto and Capalbio, in the heart of the Maremma, and weaves its way around a protected oasis of Mediterranean scrub offering a panorama that is uniquely stunning and beautiful. Surrounded by cork trees and centennial olive groves – the natural habitat of hares, squirrels and fallow deer – it offers the possibility of admiring uncontaminated scenery that is inebriated by the heady scent of arbutus. The gentle slopes, the sea and the lagoon are just some of the basic ingredients of a microclimate that allows golf to be played all year round. A fabulous location that combines the sounds of nature with the charm of the small lakes and creates a course that is both challenging and extraordinary. It has the capacity of attracting and captivating golfers, whatever their level of play.

  Its 18 championship holes, designed and created by Davide Mezzacane and Baldovino Dassù, cover a total distance of 6218 metres. Subsequently shaped by Brian Jorgensen, this par 71 course is surprisingly varied, technically very challenging and undoubtedly spectacular. Almost all the greens are small and there is always a refreshing breeze that not only helps keep the temperature down but adds another dimension to play which, on this course, requires a combination of accuracy and power. There are five marvellous par 3 holes - two of these overlook the sea and the lagoon, one lies in the heart of the scrub, another is as difficult as the wind might make it and the last, which is a really delicate hole, has a water hazard running along one side of the green. The entire layout and course are “Agri Cert” certified as being bio-eco compatible and all the products used to maintain it are totally natural.
